More Travel Diary
Hi, sorry i didn't post much about my travels when they happened, these were what i wrote for the next two days.
14/07/06 Shanghai day 2
We had lunch at a place the receptionist recommended to us down the street. The place was packed so we decided to eat in the proper restaurant area instead of the fast food area. There were known for their good noodles, so we had some. And they were really good noodles. After the lunch we went to get our train tickets which took ages since we went to the wrong one. When we got our train tickets we went to the observation deck on the 88th floor of the Jin Mao Tower. It was really cloudy so the view wasn't great. While waiting/hoping for the cloud to clear we found a broken arcade claw machine thingy which just let us play and play and play. We didn't manage to get a toy and the cloud didn't clear up, so we left. We went shopping at nanjing road, i think yan and pang bought some clothes but i didn't buy anything.
15/07/06 Shanghai day 3
Today we went to the Urban planning museum, there were little models of the whole of Shanghai there. Was ok, but i wasn't too interested. Afterwards we took a taxi to the Yuyuan Gardens and Bazaar. Twas very cool, very pretty, lots of fish. but there were soooo many tourists... would have been nicer if it were empty. We went back to the hotel for a little rest. At 7 we went out again but this time with Jouri. We took the Bund sightseeing tunnel (lots of flashy lights, quite psychodelic but a bit pointless) to cross the river to the Oriental Pearl TV and Radio Tower. The tower was just another Observation deck. It was nice but nothing too different from the JinMao tower. After taking lots of pictures we went and had a McDonalds.
I may or may not write up the rest of the journey. the longer i leave it, the more inaccurate my stories may be.

Banpo Museum, - er.. some holes in the floor
The Army of Terracotta Warriors, - lots
